Red Tuesday is an Indie/folk/rock band based in Oakland, California. The band originated in 2011 when vocalist/guitarist Chris Kersey met bassist Leslie Dickersin in a music class and began playing together in a power trio with Chris on lead vocals. Over the course of a year, the power trio learned an eclectic set of classic / alternative / indie rock covers by artists ranging from the Pixies to Ronnie James Dio. The diversity of artists and songs set the band apart from the typical bar standards band. The band performed in over a dozen shows in 2012 (including the Lafayette Art and Wine festival), and for fun, performed an astonishing 48 open mics in 2013!
In 2014, Chris took a year long haitus from the band. During his time off, he set up several “jam nights” with members of other bands he had previously played with, and met drummer and vocalist George Day who joined to re-form Red Tuesday.
The band agreed to search for a vocalist and second guitarist to fill out the band's sound and dynamics. In March of 2016, Ashley Morrow joined the band as lead vocalist, followed by rhythm guitarist Scott C.
